Biography:
Lori Erickson grew up on a farm near Decorah in northeast Iowa. She earned a B.A. in English from Luther College and an M.A. in English from the University of Iowa. She lives in Iowa City with her husband, Bob Sessions, and two sons.
Lori’s writing has taken her to many places throughout the world. Among her favorite adventures are dog sledding in northern Minnesota, trekking through the rainforests of Costa Rica, a visit to a Buddhist temple perched high atop a mountain in South Korea, a semester living with her family in the Yorkshire Dales of England, and five trips to Ireland (her favorite destination).
A member of the Society of American Travel Writers and Midwest Travel Writers Association, Lori has taught and lectured on writing-related topics at a variety of locations.
